ADIL Ray sparked fury with his comments on darts sensation Luke Littler this week – yet its not the first time the Good Morning Britain anchor has caused controversy.
The Citizen Khan star – who also fronts ITV series Lingo – felt the heat and the threat of Ofcom complaints as he returned to the ITV daytime series this week.

Just this week, Adil was at the centre of attention after he commented on The World Darts Championship contender Luke and his love of pizza.
He admitted he was “worried” about the 17-year-old, who has previously confessed to his love for kebabs and Swizzels Squashie sweets.
Shortly after the first hour of Good Morning Britain wrapped, Adil said: “I have to say and this might not be very popular, I’m a little bit worried about Luke.
“He’s 17 and he’s turning into the look of a darts player.”
He added: “He is though. If I were his mum and dad, I mean, he’s sort of – look at him.
“He’s admitted he has pizzas before a match and sits there playing computer games. I just think I’m a bit worried.”
His co-host Kate Garraway, 57 – a mum-of-two herself – suggested a lot of teenagers loved pizza before saying “fretting” Adil should “pop over with a carrot”, as the pair laughed.
He continued: “Just before the final, ‘I’ve brought a nice little salad for you from Pret’.”
Adil added: “I know but he’s going to get more successful and I just worry.”
One threatened to call the broadcasting watchdog Ofcom, writing on X: “Really, fat shaming live on morning TV @Ofcom should investigate this shocking behaviour.”
Adil previously shocked fans as he appeared to storm off the GMB panel.

It came after he was forced to apologise for an on-air blunder.
He stared intently at the camera before grabbing his script and making his exit just over an hour into an episode broadcast last August.
His co-host Kate was left pleading “come back” before warning viewers Good Morning Britain might be presented “by one” as the programme rolled to a commercial break.
Adil‘s tongue-in-cheek conduct came after a series of on-air blunders.
Shortly before his impromptu exit, he had been caught tapping away on his phone as the camera panned in on the presenters.
The ITV star, who looked smart in a navy blue suit paired with crisp white shirt, was then forced to apologise for his blunder and told viewers: “Sorry, I got caught off-guard.”
Adil clashed with former Conservative MP Michael Gove last summer in a heated on-air debate.
He was left furious when Michael, 56, repeatedly referred to him as Susanna Reid‘s “colleague” during the appearance.
When the interview came to a conclusion, Adil jumped in, saying: “Her colleague’s name is Adil. Nice to meet you, Michael.
“Thank you for joining us this morning. Good luck with the fight, although you’re not standing yourself.”
Adil was also previously called out for a comment about co-host Susanna Reid’s knees.
The actor, comedian and broadcaster was branded “creepy” by some viewers back in November 2021.
It came after Susanna branded her knees “fat” – to which he replied: “They’re great.”
He then encouraged newsreader Ranvir Singh to show her legs, leading one fan to moan on X: “Adil calm down about Susanna’s knees, it’s verging on creepy…”
