MOLLY-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have been accused of ‘faking their split’ to promote her brand after their New Year’s Eve kiss.
The former Love Island stars, both 25, announced their separation in August amid allegations that Tommy had been unfaithful – claims the boxer denies.
Fans of Molly-Mae questioned whether the breakup had been staged as a PR move[/caption]However, the couple appeared to have reconciled during Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw’s Hogmanay party in Cheshire, where they were seen locking lips in The Sun’s exclusive images.
Tommy was later photographed on Saturday looking upbeat as he went for a run with his brother Roman, marking his first public appearance since the snog.
Fans of Molly-Mae quickly took to social media to question whether the breakup had been staged as part of an elaborate PR move.
Beneath a photo of the influencer posing on her Instagram grid, one fan commented, “They didn’t even really split, money money money.”
Another added: ‘Using the “breakup” as PR for Maebe, Tommy’s book & documentary. But snogging Tommy on NYE? Convenient!!!”
Someone else fumed: “IT WAS ALL A PR STUNT. Well played,” with a fourth asking: “So the breakup WAS fake??”
A fifth claimed: “Well she fooled everyone. Funny how they are back together now his book is out, her clothing brand and now documentary is done. Played everyone like a fool all for more money.”
Tommy’s activity on Instagram also sparked more speculation, with one fan pointing out, “Tommy liked the photo the kiss on new years eve must be true.”
Another joked, “Everyone scared Tommy off now he’s unliked the pic. Stop playing with us!”
They kissed on the stroke of midnight after “flirting all night” at the New Year’s Eve party.
Molly-Mae and Tommy tried to keep their reunion secret by posting separately ahead of the bash.
She is pals with Luke’s partner Anouska Santos who supported her during the break-up.
A source said of Tommy and Molly-Mae: “Things are still delicate but they’ve had some long, difficult conversations over the past few weeks and, finally, are in a great place.
“Molly-Mae decided to invite Tommy fairly last minute. It was all very low-key.
“The pair were very flirty all night and it’s clear their physical attraction remains strong.
“They were all over each other as the compère counted down to midnight — it was very cute to see.
“But Molly-Mae isn’t ready to launch into something officially yet. She has been very hurt in the past six months, and understandably feels pretty burned.”
The pair met on the ITV dating show in 2019, got engaged in 2023 and share daughter Bambi, 23 months.
But in August the most successful reality couple of all time shocked their 13million followers by announcing their split.
Tommy has denied cheating on her with a Danish woman on holiday in North Macedonia.
The source added: “Tommy’s done lots of work on himself mentally and physically, and is happy to take things slowly.
“They have their daughter to consider so obviously hope to make things work long-term.”
