AN EMOTIONAL Luke Littler broke down in tears after making history at the PDC World Championships.
The 17-year-old demolished Michael van Gerwen in a stunning display at Ally Pally.
Littler raced into a 4-0 lead in front of a partisan crowd in the capital, eventually securing a 7-3 win.
After hitting his winning double, The Nuke raced towards his family and friends in the crowd.
The youngest winner in the tournament’s history, Littler then teared up as the magnitude of his win sunk in.
He told Sky: “I can’t believe it. Honestly. I can’t believe it.
“We both played so well. I knew I needed to get off to a great start, that’s what I done.
“Michael was right behind me the whole game.
“Everyone dreams of lifting this trophy.”
