A CRUEL headmistress branded a primary school pupil a “fat slug” and called other children “f***ing ugly” – but has NOT been banned from teaching.
Nicola Brogan, who led Woodland Community Primary School in Heywood, Lancashire, also said one staff member wouldn’t need an inhaler if she “wasn’t so fat”.

The shamed head also dubbed a teaching assistant a “fat cow”.
The disgraced headmistress further branded a staff member “Captain Camp” and called a Scottish parent a “f***ing jock”.
In addition, the panel found Ms Brogan did make inappropriate jokes with a teacher asking if they would have sex with an Ofsted inspector for an outstanding rating.
There was also evidence the headteacher shouted inappropriately at staff in meetings during her mood swings.
Her behavior came to light in November 2019 after two anonymous complaints were made, and she was referred to the TRA.
During a three-day hearing last month, Ms Brogan admitted to making inappropriate comments about staff, pupils and parents alike.
They were seen in a WhatsApp group used by senior members of staff at the school
The headmistress “expressed regret” for her actions.
The panel ultimately ruled Ms Brogan forged “an uncomfortable and negative working environment” at the school while in her position from September 2011 until December 2019.
Despite finding her guilty of unacceptable professional conduct, the panel did not rule Ms Brogan should be banned from teaching.
The headteacher was also cleared of accusations she resorted staff members to tears, made fun of Polish accents and threatened other employee’s careers.
The panel further concluded Ms Brogan’s conduct did not cause “any appreciable harm to pupils”.
They even said the headmistress was entitled to “considerable credit” for seeing Woodland Community Primary School awarded a good Ofsted rating.
The panel heard how Ms Brogan told a local paper she dedicated four years of “hard work, dedication and blood, sweat and tears” for the rating.
Panel members also highlighted Ms Brogan had not received a complaint in her 22 year career.
The TRA report said: “The panel was satisfied that the conduct of Mrs Brogan, which concerned abusive and inappropriate comments about staff, pupils and a parent, was very serious.
“There was a significant weight of evidence from staff which confirmed that this behaviour had a seriously negative impact upon the working environment of the school and adversely affected how staff felt and behaved.
“The working culture at the school at the material time was at times negative and hostile. Some pupils and some staff members were clearly not always treated with respect by Mrs Brogan.”
Ruling on behalf of the Education Secretary, Sarah Buxcey added: “A prohibition order is not proportionate or in the public interest.”
