WHEELER Dealers’ Mike Brewer has shared an update on the Ford Fiesta that “vanished from the face of the Earth” at a hotel two years ago.
The Fiesta Mk1 was snatched by thieves outside a hotel in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, back in June 2023.

Few updates have been revealed since – until Mark took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on January, 3, 2025.
He wrote: “The Fiesta never got recovered.. shame it was such an amazing build.”
The post has racked up over 20.2K views, along with many comments sharing in Mike’s pain.
One person said: “Beautiful little thing that. You must be gutted.
“I had a Supersport many years ago, that was rotten in places but I still miss it!”
While a second wrote: “I watched the episode last night and what a great mechanic Elvis is, never gets phased and almost always positive.
“The car being stolen is a sad reflection on the UK today, keep doing what your doing Mike.”
And a third wrote: “Amazing that no one has found out what happened to this car.
“Obviously a few people involved in its theft…. And whatever happened to it after.
“Would have thought by now someone would have talked?”
Then a fourth said: “Watched that episode again last night and did wonder if it ever turned up, such a shame, as it’d obviously be broken up or re tagged somehow as it’d be impossible to keep as was, great shame.”
And a fifth joked: “Hopefully, it’s having a fiesta wherever it is.”
Before its untimely disappearance, Mike had picked up the model for just £4,000 and the duo had only just finished restoring it – paying around £11,000 for repairs.
That included completely refitting the car’s engine with new water and oil pumps installed, as well as tweaks to its bodywork.
After it was stolen, Mike even offered a £5,000 reward to anyone who could tell him where the Fiesta was.
At one point he even indicated he was happy it was stolen.
However, disappointment appears prominent on his X post, and the wait continues.
