This feat means that Dee-Dee has made more appearances in a single year than any other Coronation Street character ever since its launch in 1960.
And she has achieved this by some mile with no other Corrie character having ever made more than 190 episodes in a year previously, meaning Dee-Dee is the clear runaway.
This cements her firmly as Corrie’s most used character in a year by a long stretch.
She has sped away from any of her nearest competition by a staggering 36 episodes too.
Nick Tilsley was the Street’s second most-used character in 2024 with a total of 178 episodes.
An insider told The Sun: “The fact Dee-Dee has become Corrie’s most used character ever just shows how much bosses believe in her.
“Channique picked up a slew of awards in her first year on the soap and the top brass at Corrie have rewarded her with more episodes than anyone else in a year ever.
“There are certainly no plans for her to slow down anytime soon either with Dee-Dee set to continue to be at the heart of Weatherfield throughout 2025 and beyond.”
Following on from Dee-Dee and second placed Nick was his two love interests – sisters, Toyah and Leanne.
Toyah clocked up a total of 163 episodes followed by Leanne with 156.
A total of 24 characters managed to rack up more than 100 episodes on the soap for 2024 including the likes of Daisy Midgeley, Steve McDonald and Lauren Bolton.
Despite being her final ever year on the soap, Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, saw a MUCH lower episode count.
Gail appeared in just 40 episodes in the year before waving goodbye to the cobbles on Christmas Day.
Elsewhere, Rita Tanner, played by Barbara Knox, 91, made the least appearances among the regular adult cast.
She notched up just 20 episodes in total this year.
