Luke Littler could double his earnings tonight[/caption]Littler burst onto the scene at last year’s event, pocketing £200,000 by coming runner-up to Luke Humprhries.
Since then, he has been on a remarkable rise and his career prize money is already just above £1million.
Victory over Van Gerwen in this evening’s final will see him take home a cheque worth a whopping £500,000.
Littler’s already banked million has come from the ten titles he won across 2024.
The Nuke got £618,500 from ranking events and a bonus £395,000 from the invitational events.
In the last year, he was crowned champion of the Premier League, Grand Slam, World Series, Bahrain Masters, Poland Masters, Austrian Open, Belgian Open, and three Players Championships.
He has hit five nine-darters in the process and another in tonight’s final will see him win an extra £60,000.
Littler has spent his cash on a stunning new five-bedroom house, which is reportedly worth £6,000-a-month and is on a street dubbed “Millionaires Row” in Warrington.
Van Gerwen has won £815,500 in the last two years and is third in the PDC Order of Merit behind only Humphries and Michael Smith.
Despite only having one year to rake in his fortune, Littler is fourth in the rankings.
