RAPPER Ice Spice has been called out for being disrespectful to her fans after she turned up late to a New Year’s Eve performance.
Criticised for “disrespecting” her Australian fans, Ice Spice, 25, turned up late to a festival in Brisbane and only managed to perform two of her hits.

Tickets for the Aussie music festival were around $242, which works out to around £121.
Ice Spice was due to begin her half-an-hour slot at 10:30pm, with Chase and Status due to follow on from her at 11:30pm with an hour-long performance to ring in 2025.
But the course of the festival was slightly thrown off when Ice Spice arrived late to her allotted time slot.
Turning up 25 minutes later than planned, Ice Spice arrived at 10:55pm instead of 10:30pm.
Because she turned up so late, the hitmaker, who collaborated with Taylor Swift on the track Karma, was only able to croon two of her songs before her mic was cut.
According to The Guardian, an Australian music podcaster revealed that Ice Spice was acting as though she “didn’t want to be there”.
The podcaster and journalist, whose name is Brenton Larney, was in the crowd for the six-minute show.
“At 11.01pm – they gave her an extra minute … – they cut the mic and you heard the collective sigh from the crowd,” he said, according to the paper.
“They’d been waiting for a while and they get two songs? So that was a bit ridiculous and it was just really disrespectful how she walked off, she was laughing they tried to give her flowers for her birthday and she just shrugged them off.”
He also branded it “disrespectful” before a 20-year-old fan of the singer said “It kind of seemed like a bit of a joke,” noting how it seemed that Ice Spice “didn’t care”.
“It kind of seemed like a bit of a joke, like she didn’t really care that much and especially, like, she hasn’t posted anything on her socials or apologised,” Mia, 20, said.
“So I couldn’t imagine being one of her biggest fans and that happening
“I’d be pretty devastated,” she concluded.
Being late is just unprofessional.

Someone else then shared a video of Ice Spice’s mic being cut on social media, with fans quickly reacting to the six-minute-long show and the brutal mic cut.
The caption of the video read: “Ice Spice at Wildlands 2024. My sis was so late they cut her mic.”
Reacting to the video on TikTok of Ice Spice’s mic being cut, one person said: “We have sound ordinances. shows have to end at their allotted time.”
“Honestly iconic of the organisers to enforce the schedule and not just let her lateness make everything else run later,” penned another.
“Ngl I love when organizers stand on business,” said a third.
“YOU GOTTA BE ON TIME! Idk why people play around,” fumed a fourth.
A fifth person then weighed in and said: “Being late is just unprofessional, in the UK we have curfews for music so if someone runs over the mic is just cut, I’ve never seen an artist here be late cos we just don’t allow it.”
While a sixth added: “I wanna know what happens when they’re late, do they still get paid the full amount ?? Does the artist get charged a fee for being late ??”
And a seventh said: “If they are cutting her mic, the people that also paid need to get a refund as well.”
