Following last night’s defeat to Newcastle – their FOURTH loss in a row – United were left in 14th, seven points clear of the drop zone and 13 behind Chelsea who occupy fourth.
Amorim was quizzed on his side potentially being dragged into a fight near the bottom of the table and told Sky Sports: “That is really clear, and we have to fight.
“It’s a really difficult moment, one of the more difficult moments in the history of Manchester United, and we have to address it with honesty and to be clear with that.
“We have to fight, we’ll see.”
And with a trip to runaway leaders Liverpool next, it certainly doesn’t get any easier.
