MARTIN Roberts has been slammed by fans after a ‘dangerous move’ at his pub following his health scare.
The Homes Under the Hammer star has spoken openly about his health woes to his worried fan base.
Worried fans were concerned for Martin, 61, and told him to do come down from the wall[/caption]But in a social media update, Martin could be seen decorating his new boozer as he embraced the Christmas festivities.
He said: “One thing I noticed about the hotel when I bought it, it comes with a Christmas tree.
“Look at this, on the corner, it’s absolutely beautiful but to my mind it’s never had Christmas lights – well this is going to be the first year that it does.
“So we’ve got some electric cables running into the hotel. Just to be clear I’m not stealing electricity from the pylon [electricity pole].”
But as the 61-year-old worked with the wires during a damp day and stood on a wall in the air, fans were left terrified for him.
Slamming his behaviour as ‘dangerous’ one follower said: “Get down you silly fool. Shouldn’t be doing that.”
A second wrote: “Bloody hell Martin you frightened the life out of me balancing on that wall with all that electricity Look after yourself and have a safe Christmas and successful 2025 lots of love and stay safe!”
“Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too. Glad you got down ok after putting the Christmas lights up. You don’t want to spend it in A&E,” said a third.
Martin first acquired the derelict Hendrewen Hotel and Pub a few years ago after dealing with a heart condition gave him a new zest for life.
Despite the presenter’s initial excitement, the renovation quickly spiraled into a complex and costly endeavor.
His work on the grand building will be documented for a brand new ITV series.
Meanwhile, Martin recently admitted he has fears about ‘how long he has left’ after suffering pericardial effusion.
He was “hours from death” as he was rushed into surgery that saved his life to relieve the build-up of fluid around his heart.
Even though it has been two years since his health woes began, Martin still gets twinges in his chest and minor panic attacks.
