TWO channels have disappeared from Sky and Virgin Media boxes today in a post Christmas shake-up.
But viewers need not worry about missing out as they have been automatically replaced.
The changes affect all Sky TV viewers as well as Virgin Media[/caption] NOW Xmas is among the channels to disappear for another year[/caption]The two channels in question were temporary Christmas channels on Sky and Virgin Media for the festive period.
Both MTV and NOW brands had dedicated Christmas channels filled with the best seasonal tunes and music videos.
But now Christmas is done for another year the channels have reverted back to their normal names.
These are MTV 90s and NOW 90s and 00s.
There’s no need to rescan your box – and the channel numbers remain unchanged too.
But they’re not the only tweaks happening today and over the next few days.
Sky Cinema subscribers will notice some routine name changes post Christmas too.
Firstly, from today Sky KungFuPandaHD reverts back to SkyAnimationHD for a few days.
Then on New Years Eve, Sky Favourites will become Middle Earth for a limited time.
In the New Year, more Christmas channels will disappear, including Sky Christmas which goes back to being Sky Drama.
On January 5, Christmas24 and Christmas24+ will also revert to their usual brands Movies24 and Movies24+ respectively.
Other temporary changes include Sky 10s becoming Sky Hits and Sky Cinema Action to Sky Stunts.
Sky’s dedicated Harry Potter channel will also disappear and return to being the broader Sky Family again.
