THE desperate search for a seven-year-old boy who went missing six months ago continues as cops grow “increasingly concerned” for his safety.
Adam Glanville went missing in Richmond, southwest London, and cops haven’t been able to track his whereabouts since the disappearance.
The youngster is believed to be with his mother, Karima Mahmoud, 43, who is in breach of a family court order – the pair have been missing since Monday 3 June.
Detectives announced they are appealing for information from the public after struggling to track either of them down.
Leader of the investigation, Detective Sergeant Mary Dawson, said they have “followed all lines of inquiry.”
She said there is no reason to think Adam or his mother have come to harm but as time passes Met Police Officers are “increasingly concerned for their welfare.”
Dawson added: “While our enquiries remain ongoing, we need your help to locate Karima and Adam.
“Have you seen Karima or Adam in recent days?
“Are you renting a room or accommodation to them?
“It is possible that Karima may have altered her appearance.”
A social media appeal was posted in July and a renewed appeal was issued to media at the end of September.
Cops then received a sighting of the pair on October 24 in London, a few miles away from where they were last seen.
A Metropolitan Police report released 24 October stated: “Detectives are appealing to residents in the Feltham area as they continue to ask for information to help trace a missing boy who is believed to be with his mother.
“Officers have today received a new sighting of Karima in the vicinity of Bedfont Road in Feltham.
“Karima is in a breach of a family court order and police are trying to locate both her and Adam.”
A post on Facebook of the youngster prompted a flurry of tributes online.
One read: “Stay safe Karima and Adam wherever you are.”
Another wrote: “Please just let your family be safe.”
A third posted: “Karima, if you are reading this, please reach out to let us know that you and Adam are okay.”
Cops have asked if anyone has seen the mother and son, or have information that could help police locate them, please call 101 quoting 01/421708/24.
