THE MOBO unsung class of 2024 will take centre stage at the highly anticipated MOBO fringe festival – a prelude to the 2025 MOBO awards in Newcastle.
Ten rising stars are selected as part of the prestigious MOBO UnSung programme will showcase their talent in front of fans, industry leaders and tastemakers at the festival.
MOBO’s Fringe festival serves as a vital platform for unsigned artists, giving them the chance to demonstrate the future of music.
The MOBO UnSung talent program backed by partners such as Marshall, Canva and Vevo offers more than just stage time it helps unsigned UK musician’s kickstart their music careers.
Every year, they select 10 rising artists also known as the “UnSung Class”.
This gives them access to Studio time and live performance opportunities, Mentoring and training in music business skills, Grants, marketing support, and networking with industry professionals.
The goal is to nurture fresh talent and give them the tools they need to succeed in the music industry.
The programme prides itself on not being competition for one single winner but about building a supportive community of emerging artists.
Instead, the program selects 10 who will receive prizes and participate in a year-long artist development program.
Last years MOBO UnSung finalists included emerging artists: Ace Clvrk, Bea Anderson, Deja, Josh Barry, Kaniva, NEOne The Wonderer, Young Athena, Gabriel Sanches, Melica, and Shack Santima.
Building on the success of the MOBO UnSung Class of 2023, which included finalists who have already started making waves in the music industry, this year promises even more exciting opportunities.

The programme comes off the back of the iconic MOBO Awards which is coming to the city of Newcastle for the first time ever on February 18th.
Last years show was a major success with winners including Bugzy Malone and Raye with Olympist Jessica Ennis- Hill bagging the Paving The Way Award.
The 2024 show featured an amazing line-up, including Ghetts, King Promise & Camidoh, Sugababes, Byron Messia, Cristale, Soul II Soul, and a spectacular medley marking the 30th anniversary of UK Garage.
Entries are open now for MOBO UnSung via mobo.com/unsung and the deadline for all entries is 18:00 pm on November 20.
