AN ACTION-PACKED new trailer for series two of hit war drama SAS Rogue Heroes has just been released by the BBC.
The acclaimed drama made its debut in October 2022 and was an instant hit with critics and fans after six gripping episodes.
The BBC have unleashed the new trailer for SAS Rogue Heroes Season 2[/caption] Paddy Mayne takes over the control of the SAS in season 2[/caption] David Stirling is captured in season one and returns in Season 2[/caption]Sex Education star Connor Swindells, Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella, and The Crown‘s Dominic West led the cast of the first series of SAS Rogue Heroes.
Set in 1941, the show followed British Army officer David Stirling (Connor Swindells) who created a special command unit to stage operations deep behind enemy lines.
Based on Ben Macintyre’s best-selling book of the same name, series two returns to action with the troops in Spring 1943.
Season 2 is set to be more dramatic than ever as the regiment have to face their next battle in a completely different environment.
Paddy Mayne takes over control of the SAS after David Stirling’s capture in season one.
But as attention turns from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe, GHQ have doubts over the future of the regiment.
The creation of a second unit and an influx of new arrivals also make things more difficult for the men.
The unit will have to prove that the SAS remains essential to the war, wherever it may lead them.
Newcomers, Gwilym Lee from The Great and Bohemian Rhapsody joins the cast as Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment.
Con O’Neill star of Happy Valley and Our Flag Means Death will feature as General Montgomery.
Among the brigade’s new recruits are Mark Rowley from The Last Kingdom and The North Water who will plays Jock McDiarmid.
From Heartstopper and War of the Worlds, Jack Barton plays SAS member John Tonkin.
Also joining the cast is Stuart Thompson from The Witcher and Paolo De Vita from Anonymous.
Anna Manuelli from Blocco and Edward Bennett from Save Me Too will also appear in the new season.
