Katie said: “I’ve just sent Matt and Mollie a scan photo and a message saying me and Alex are having a baby.I was so scared that that would go wrong, like the WiFi wouldn’t send it.”
Mollie King is also expecting a baby, her second with cricketer fiance Stuart Broad, and she was delighted by her friend’s news.
Katie told Mollie: “I mean, oh my god Mollie I’ve wanted to talk to you about this so much. There was a day when you walked past us and I was like, ‘how are you’ and you were like, ‘I’ve been so sick’ and I was thinking, ‘me too I’m so sick but I can’t tell anyone yet’.
“But yeah, I’m due in March so not that far behind you really.”
She currently co-hosts Radio 1’s Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie, and before this Katie was host of Life Hacks and The Official Chart: First Look with Vick Hope.

She posted a montage of videos with her husband and penned: “We’ve been married 3 gorgeous years today, feels like a good time to announce the next chapter. Watch for a surprise.”

At the end of last year, Katie revealed she’d embarked on a new career, alongside her Radio 1 duties.

Katie revealed she had finished her counselling training course saying: “Hanging up my NHS pass today (for the second time in my career actually) after a year of seeing patients as a trainee counsellor and 3 years of studying, and last week I found out I’ve passed!
“I started this process in the pandemic 2020 after years of thinking about it as I do so much telly/radio/hosting work in the mental health world and I wanted to have a bit more knowledge.”
However, she confirmed she wouldn’t be leaving radio or TV, adding: “I still want to be a radio presenter forever but I’ve loved it.“It’s been blooming hard work fitting it in with my hectic work life but I’ve learnt so much from my wonderful clients and colleagues and classmates and it’s been so great for my own mind (apart from the stress). I felt quite emotional looking at the list of all my clients earlier.”
