The 26-year-old and his wife Cheryl, 63, have always been open about their personal lives with their social media followers.
Quaran even proposed to his wife with a crowd which he paid for through crowd-funding from his online audience.
However, the TikToker revealed that he was originally hesitant to speak about the issues with their surrogate.
“I didn’t want to discuss it, I don’t have the time or mental capacity to be dealing with the hurt and pain that she causesd in our lives,” he said.
He did disclose that both her and Cheryl have been attending therapy sessions to “cope with the hurt.”
Despite the hurt and betrayal, Quaran explained that he didn’t harbour any ill will towards their surrogate.
In a previous update, the couple revealed that their surrogate is currently incarcerated.
They explained that their baby girl, who is due on December 27, would have a second chance of life with them.
However, their latest post on the subject revealed the woman now planned to keep the baby.
The couple said they take responsibilty for not being prepared for the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy.
They revealed that their surrogate has substance abuse issues but they were forced to use her egg rather than Cheryl’s due to her age.
But when the couple learned the baby’s conception date, they grew concerned about the baby’s parentage.
Doctors estimate the baby was conceived on March 5th and the official insemination procedure did not occur until March 12th.
Now the couple face a long waiting game to see if the child is theirs.
Quaran and Cheryl McCain announced their surrogacy journey in June, revealing their baby’s gender soon after.
While most of their online users showed their support, others were quick to point out the couple’s age gap.
Many people joked that Quaran would make a good father while his wife, who has 18 grandchildren, would make a good grandmother.
Others compared the couple to a grandmother and grandson.
People pointed out that Cheryl looked to fragile to handle a youg baby.
Despite the hate, the pair said they were looking forward to raising a child together.
“The right thing [for her] to do was to come to the DNA test, we didn’t get that,” Quaran said.
Despite their pain, he said they were “not dwelling on that situation any more.”
The TikToker pointed out that all they could do was wait until they learned who the baby belonged to.
His followers shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
“I’m so sorry you went through this. It’s awful,” wrote one TikTok user.
“Praying you guys get the kid y’all deserve soon and that justice is served! I’m so sorry you’re going through this!” said another viewer.
“Do what’s best for you guys!! I love you guys, be safe,” commented a third person.
