A COUPLE with a staggering 19-year age gap have revealed how they tied the knot just three months after meeting, all while facing wild accusations of being mother and daughter.
Having only dated men before, Olivia Reed had her eureka moment at 33 when she met her now-wife, Kelly.
Calling herself a lesbian is still new for Olivia, but she’s never been happier, despite the naysayers who have questioned their relationship.
The 34-year-old teacher from Frederick, Maryland, USA, said: “We were at a couple of stores and the checkout people were like, ‘Oh, is that your daughter?’
“I think when people see two women out together, maybe we’ll be at a restaurant or something, and people will just look at us sometimes.”
During a six-year relationship with a man, Olivia started to notice she had feelings for women and decided to explore them after her breakup.
After downloading the dating app, Bumble, she met Kelly Reed, 54, with her very first match.
The couple instantly hit it off and planned a three-day date despite living a whopping seven and a half hours apart.
With the almost two-decade age difference between the couple not fazing them, they acted quickly to take their relationship to the next level, marrying after just three months of dating.
They initially met in person March 2023 and married in June of that year – as Kelly admitted to them both not being ‘risk takers’ – but claimed it was ‘love at first sight’ for the pair who eagerly anticipated the thought of marriage.
The Covid-19 pandemic initially brought them together on Bumble, but the long distance meant they spent hours chatting on the phone before finally meeting.
However, it isn’t all roses for the couple who have encountered some notable differences from their age-gap when it comes to technology.
They explained how they have differences with how they grew up with technology and at times struggle talking about new gadgets.
The couple have since taken to TikTok to boast about their new-found affinity for each other where they have since met other couples in similar scenarios – where they have met several new friends.

While they are both in full agreement that they have no plans for kids, the couple would love to take their relationship to the next level as they’re searching to purchase a house; whilst also having aspirations to travel together.
Speaking about their relationship during an interview with them both, Olivia explained: “I previously, I had only dated men, and I actually got out of a six-year relationship with a man, and I had a feeling that I liked women, so I decided to explore that.

“And so, I downloaded a couple apps, one of which was Bumble, and that’s how I met Kelly, but she lives like eight hours away from me.
“I started thinking I didn’t want to go the rest of my life without knowing if I felt that way. And then we just happened to break up. So it wasn’t the impetus, but it just happened in that way.
“And so, because he and I had ended our relationship, I was like, ‘Oh, now is the time’. But yeah, that’s, that’s basically it, yeah.”
Expanding on that, Kelly commented: “And I just downloaded Bumble, and I was the first person that she met on there.”
Olivia then went on to say: “We met in person in March of 2023, and we got married in June of 2023, and that’s not typical of us. Like we’re not, we’re not risk takers especially Kelly, like, she had never taken a risk like this before, never.
“I’ve never been a super dreamy, romantic type of person. That’s just not me.
“So, for something like that to actually happen to me, it just really opened my eyes that it’s real.”
