SOAP storylines often feature blossoming romances and sweet moments between new couples, but they also feature steamy and passionate embraces too.
From EastEnders couples seemingly over before passionately kissing to Emmerdale‘s barnyard romance, these are some of the steamiest soap scenes we’ve seen on TV…
They’re one of Albert Square’s longstanding couples, but Kat Slater and Alfie’s steamy kitchen session has been noted as one of the hottest sex scenes in soap land.
The couple weren’t dating at the time, but their romance wasn’t simple as Alfie was dating Kat’s sister Little Mo but was unlucky as he didn’t end up with either of the Slater siblings.
Kat and Alfie’s steamy scene saw the pair half naked on the kitchen table, and was in their early evening slot – leading to shock from viewers.
At the time, a BBC spokesman admitted: “We want to make it as steamy and realistic as we can.
“We put this red-hot storyline in to get people talking about the show again.
“We’ve not had the best 12 months and we are going to go for it.”
They added: “In true Kat style, Alfie will be dumped after their explosive sex. That will knock him for six.
“Then hours later he will be hit by another bombshell. Because Little Mo says she can’t carry on either.”
In 2016 Jack and Ronnie’s romance was thought to have cooled off, but their steamy shower scene showed it was anything but over.
At the time Jack and Ronnie were very much on/off again lovers, but in these scenes they could barely wait before they were ripping off each other’s clothes and furiously kissing.
The love scenes were dubbed by fans as verging on porny for pre-watershed TV, with the couple’s steamy shower confirming there were definitely still feelings between them.
This next steamy scene was so racy that in fact it was cut before ITV could air it for any eager Coronation Fans to see.
Rosie Webster, played by Helen Flanagan, flashed boss Luke Strong. However the suggestive scene was actually cut from the show, meaning Corrie fans never actually got to see it on TV.
In another scene for Rosie, she showed off her curves and toned figure as she she tried (and failed) to seduce Tony Gordon wearing a corset and suspenders.
Still in Weatherfield for ITV’s Coronation Street, barmaid Eva Price turned on the romantic charm for then-boyfriend Aidan Connor.
Dressing up in sexy lingerie bought during a festive shopping trip, she wowed her man as well as the viewers at home.
Over in Emmerdale, they weren’t missing out on steamy scenes either.
For Rob Sugden and Aaron Dingle their romance was set to a typical Emmerdale backdrop of a barn and farmyard.
Nickname ‘Robron’ by ITV viewers, the gay couple have had numerous steamy encounters from their first time in Cain’s garage to hotel rooms and a barn.
