TONGUES have been wagging about Big Brother contestant Nathan King.
The pork salesman and one-time butler to the Monarch has a varied resume that was the first thing to get fans of the latest series of the show talking.
However it’s a rather grim detail from the most recent episode that’s causing controversy instead.
In series two episode five, aired on Thursday 10 October, the controversial contestant caused quite a social media stir.
During a talent show segment, where Helen Adams performed a rap to the other housemates, Nathan was seen sticking his tongue out, which appeared to be yellow.
The discoloured tongue incident resulted in fans of the reality TV show heading to X, formerly Twitter, where many had already discussed how white Nathan’s ‘Turkey teeth’ were.
Following last night’s airing one viewer commented: “Nathan put that dirtyyyy tongue away!”
Another said: “Nathan’s tongue just scared the f outta me.”
A yellow tongue is usually a harmless and temporary discolouration caused by a build-up of dead skin cells and bacteria, with the most common cause poor oral hygiene.
Nathan has already ruffled more than a few feathers since making his debut in this year’s reality TV social experiment.
The 2024 housemate, who hails from the Scottish market town of Dumfries, was picked from thousands of hopefuls for this year’s show.
AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed Nathan alongside 15 others to enter the ITV show’s compound on 6 October 2024.
Since then the outspoken Scot has become known for his strong views on subjects including politics.
Nathan was just 17 when he landed the position of butler in 2017 at the Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire – the Scottish home of King Charles.
His role saw him carry out household and personal tasks in the 18th-century home for both Charles and Camilla.
At the time, he told the Daily Record: “I’ve had the honour of serving at a couple of dinners during His Royal Highness’s visits to Dumfries House.
“I very much enjoy being a butler here and there’s always something very different to deal with.”
During his introduction on the series he said: “Politically, I’m definitely on the right side of centre.”
“I strangely admire Nigel Farage. I think I’m different to other people my age; I listen to Radio 2, I read an old-fashioned newspaper and I vote Tory.”
“I think that is different, but good!”
