MIRANDA Hart was spotted with mystery man on bike ride – months before she confirmed she had got married.
The popular TV star, 51, surprised fans when she announced on The One Show that she had tied the knot in the summer – after she began dating a man who removed mould from her house in 2020.
The comedian got engaged in January to the surveyor during a visit to Kew Gardens in West London after realising she and her new partner had “fallen hopelessly in love with each other”.
Miranda has kept tight-lipped about his identity, referring to only as ‘The Boy’ or ‘The Mould Man’ in her new book I Haven’t Been Completely Honest With You.
But she does describe her new husband as “salt-and-pepper greying hair look on a fine featured man”.
An eyewitness now believes they spotted Miranda’s new partner in October last year, while the pair were on a bike ride together.

In the photo, Miranda is seen looking at her male friend while taking a break.
She wrapped up warm in a grey hooded jumped, brown checked scarf and navy trousers.
While the grey haired gentleman wore a fleece, blue denim jeans and a shirt.
A source said: “The pair appeared close and very much like a couple. Both were smiling before they pulled over for a chat.
“They headed off in the direction of Chiswick.”
Miranda showed off her ring on The One Show last night.
After recounting how they met, she wrote: “He’s not my boyfriend. He’s my husband.
“We got married when I was fifty-one.”
It comes 15 years after the launch of her BBC sitcom Miranda, which featured a long-running joke about her mum being desperate for her to get hitched.
She recalls: “We stood still on the bridge overlooking the lake when the silence was pierced as he rather seriously said, ‘Miranda.’
“I turned around, and as I did, he got down on one knee. ‘Miranda…’
“I don’t remember anything else because I simply burst out crying, apparently saying yes before he had finished the sentence (awkward if he’d been tying a shoelace…).
“I didn’t think a traditional proposal would affect me so.
“But there was someone knowing all my ridiculousness and brokenness and still willing to bend down, look up and commit to loving me and standing by me for the rest of his life.”
After being inundated with congratulatory messages from fans, Miranda shared a first look at her other half in a video on Instagram.
She said: “Just on the way back from The One Show with little Patty [her dog] falling asleep on my lap and I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the lovely messages about the news.
“It’s really very touching that you should be very happy that I’m happy and I really, really am.
“I’ve got my best friend to do life with and it’s wonderful. And I’m also utterly thrilled to be back in Teleland and having a book out.
“So yeah, thanks so much for all your support.”
At the end of the video, she said: “High-five husband” as she flashed his hand.
“Ho ho. Exclusive, his hand. Bye!”, she laughed.
