“If you’re not providing the workload, you’re going to have behavioural issues.”
The trainer pointed out that German Shepherds are used as police dogs, and said that if you aren’t going to work them as hard as a police dog, you shouldn’t have one.
The dog expert revealed that no types of hounds are suitable for first time owners.
“They are high energy, they’re all about the nose and need to be worked instinctively”, he said.
The trainer revealed that if you do not live on a farm or have a huge plot of land, the dogs will get behavioural issues.
The trainer said that Pitbulls are an obvious choice, and the breed is actually banned in the UK.
“They’re highly aggressive if they’re not trained and they’ve got so much energy”, he said.
“They can be the nicest dog in the world, but if you’re not going to give the right form of discipline, exercise and pack leadership, they’re going to maul you.”
