A TEENAGE motorcyclist has been killed after colliding with a taxi on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old was was driving in Durham when the fatal accident happened, seriously injuring his passenger, also 16.
The incident happened in County Durham at around 8pm[/caption]The taxi driver is believed to be unharmed after the incident on Park Road, Stanley but both teens were taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, about ten miles from the crash.
The driver was pronounced dead on arrival and the police have said his family have been informed.
Officers were called to the scene of the accident just after 8pm after receiving reports of a crash.
Three paramedic crews, a doctor, a rapid response paramedic and a hazardous area response team arrived at the scene.
An officer saw to three patients at the crash site before taking them all to hospital.
Durham Constabulary said it is appealing for information about the incident and is asking anyone with dash cam footage to make contact.
