BBC newsreader Clive Myrie has apologised for failing to declare £65,000 he made from corporate gigs in the past year.
The 60-year-old — who gets £310,000 a year, plus an undisclosed sum for hosting Mastermind — recently topped a list of stars coining it in from work outside the Beeb.
But The Sunday Times found 11 appearances and speeches were missing from Myrie’s list of declared engagements.
One insider said it was “very foolish” of him not to declare the cash.
They added: “That list offers absolution. Whatever sins of greed or pride they commit, declare it and you’re forgiven.”
Last night, the BBC said: “We have spoken to Clive to remind him of his responsibilities and he has apologised for these errors.”
It added that its register of external earnings would be “updated at the next quarterly publication to include all relevant events that were previously omitted”.
Myrie did not comment when approached by the newspaper.
