COLEEN Nolan has opened up about a moment son Jake threatened to call the police on her when he was a teenager.
The Loose Women star opened up about the incident on today’s show during a discussion about being able to punish your child.

“I remember once saying to Jake – it’s always Jake, bless him – when he was about 12 or 13, he went to swear at me, and as he ran past, I clipped him, not hard,” she told the panel.
“I was just ‘no’, you know? It was so shocking.”
“He went, ‘I could get you done for that’,” she added. “And in my head, I thought, ‘yeah, he actually could, yeah’.”
“He went, ‘I’m gonna phone them’, and I went, ‘please do, because they’ll come and take you away! They won’t take me Jake they’ll take you and I’m for that right now!'”
Thankfully they were able to work out their differences after the incident, with Jake now a singer who has even been on tour with Ed Sheeran with his band Rixton.
Coleen’s confession comes after Gemma Atkinson sparked a conversation online about teaching her kids lessons.
She came under fire after discussing a tantrum her one-year-old son Thiago threw.
After Thiago lashed out and pinched her five-year-old daughter, Mia, in the process Gemma quickly nipped him back.
“He pretend cries and throws himself on the floor. I stand and watch until he realises it’s getting him nowhere and they are slowly getting shorter,” she told Instagram followers.
“He pinches when he gets frustrated. I did it back to him on Wednesday as he did it hard to Mia. He’s not done it since.”
She later had to defend herself, explaining: “I said about the differences between boys and girls and Tiago’s going through that phase at the minute where he’s nipping and biting.
“I said he really nipped Mia the other day and so I went like this back to him and said ‘oi’ we don’t nip.
“I didn’t [pinch him hard] ‘ughh’ as if I would.”
She was defended on the show by the Loose Women team.
“I feel a bit sorry for Gemma, because i agree with you. you know, she said something and it’s been blown out of context,” she said.
“I think really, all she’s saying is she’s trying to mimic her children’s behaviour to show them how it feels.
“You do need to show children consequences, you do need deterrents.”
