COPS probing the suspected abduction of a girl are set to reveal a fresh development in their investigation – almost 30 years after she vanished.
Morgan Nick disappeared without a trace at the age of six when she was allegedly kidnapped after watching a baseball game in Alma, Arkansas, in June 1995.

Cops have even investigated potential persons of interest, but have been no closer to resolving the riddle.
Morgan was even the subject of the Hulu four-part documentary Still Missing Morgan which aired in 2023.
Alma police chief Jeff Pointer will share a significant development today, October 1, as reported by the Fort Smith Southwest Times Record.
Morgan vanished after she tried to catch fireflies in a parking lot, near where the little league baseball game was being held.
She was last seen around 10:45pm local time on the night of June 9 and was seen standing near her mom’s car emptying sand from her shoes.
Morgan’s pals told cops they saw a man talking to her and she didn’t return.
In an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, Nick’s mom Colleen recalled the moment she realized her daughter was missing.
“I went over to the car, looked around the outside of the car, opened the doors, looked inside the car, thinking she had gotten in,” she said.
“Within a couple of minutes, all of the people and most of the cars were gone and it was very clear that Morgan wasn’t there.”
Local law enforcement and FBI agents were involved in the search efforts to try and find Morgan.
In 1995, cops released a sketch of a drawing that showed a man – between the ages of 23 and 38.
He was around six feet tall and had a mustache and beard.
The case sparked Arkansas officials to change its child abduction emergency alert to the Morgan Nick Alert System.
Years later, cops released another drawing of a man who they thought was a suspect.
Investigators identified a home in Spiro, Oklahoma, that they wanted to search as part of their probe.
It was initially combed in 2010 before investigators searched the site again in 2017.
Police said they combed the land after receiving a tip but it wasn’t initially linked to Morgan’s case, per the ABC affiliate KATV.
Cops have not abandoned the search effort as they released a picture in 2020 that showed what Morgan may have looked like at the age of 31.
In 2021, FBI agents launched an appeal to obtain more information relating to Billy Jacks Lincks.
Lincks, who died in prison in 2000, was named as a potential person of interest in connection with Morgan’s disappearance.
Police at the time refused to shed any light on whether they had evidence that connected Lincks to Morgan’s case.
Lincks allegedly tried to abduct a girl – eight miles from where Morgan was last seen – just months after she disappeared, according to the FBI.
He was driving a pickup truck and cops revealed they found blood on the dashboard and blonde hair fibers under a floor cover, per the ABC affiliate KHBS.
Investigators uncovered green fibers in a mat under one of the seats and they discovered duct tape, machete, and tarp.
Lincks lived around 13 minutes from where Morgan vanished, former cop Kevin Johnson told the NBC affiliate KARK.
In their appeal, FBI agents said: “Every piece of information about Lincks’ life is important-no detail is too small or insignificant.”
