KONNOR Ewudzi was a perfect catch in the eyes of Love Island fans – but he failed to find a partner during his time in the villa this summer.
But now, two months after the series finale, the hunky rugby player believes it might have been a blessing in disguise as he looks ahead to bigger and better things.

It means he’s avoided the drama and baggage experienced by the likes of Sean Stone, Matilda Draper, Ronnie Vint, Harriett Blackmore, Hugo Godfroy and Jess White, who have all gone their separate way since the show.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun ahead of Justin Cassin’s SS25 London Fashion Week show at St John’s Church, Konnor said: “Going on the show, how I saw things was it was an experience for myself. If I found someone then amazing, I didn’t feel bad for not finding anybody.
“But yeah, I’m kind of glad because I didn’t want to get pushed into anything for the sake of the TV show. I’m a genuine person and I’d only want to progress with someone if I thought there was something there.”
Konnor made a statement at the event in the St Piran’s Kilt by The Cornish Kilt Company, which he combined with a stylish sweater and Dr. Marten boots.
The exclusive event had a guest list of 650 people, selected from some 11,500 applicants.
It’s clear to see why Konnor, who was linked briefly with air stewardess and villa co-star Lolly Hart, is in demand with ladies now he’s back in the UK.
However, he’s avoided countless dating requests since returning home and is laser focused on forging a career as a sports presenter and model – though there are few programmes that could lure him back into the reality sphere.
He continued: “It’s funny. Coming out of the villa and getting your phone for the first time. I thought it was going to blow up.
“I’ve been getting quite a bit of attention but also at the same time I’m kind of thinking careerwise that I’m not trying to run into anything too quick.
“I suppose you can kind of be a little bit cautious of who’s messaging you for what reason.
“But yeah, if someone comes along and they kind of sweep me off my feet then we’ll run with it but until then I’m quite happy.”
Konnor has held talks with Gallagher Premiership Rugby over TV work during the season and has meetings with fashion brands booked in.
When it comes to more reality TV he said he’s interested in Strictly Come Dancing, I’m A Celebrity and SAS: Who Dares Wins, though wouldn’t rule out a stint in Love Island: All Stars if the opportunity presented itself.
He said: “With the reality side of it, I did Love Island because I wanted the experience but I’m not a reality star, that’s not really me.
“It’s more kind of presenting the rugby side of things at the moment and then the fashion as well.
“I’m probably one of the Islanders that got away with not having stigma because I didn’t have any drama.”
Keep your eyes peeled for Konnor’s next move.
