PETROLHEADS can pick up an impressive super saloon for the fraction of the price of a BMW M3.

Often favoured by families or taxi drivers due to their reliability, affordability and efficiency, the Octavia has existed over four generations since the model was first introduced in 1996.
But the Octavia vRS, first released back in 2013, adds plenty of oomph to it.
Not only does it have the aforementioned 155 mph top speed, it can hit 62mph in just 6.7 seconds.
That’s very similar to the M3 – often considered the benchmark for super saloons.
However, while the M3 costs between £82,000 to £90,000, a second-hand Octavia vRS 230 can be picked up for under £10,000.
In fact, we found a 2016 example on the Autotrader website for £8,490 – and it looks spectacular.
While it does have 91,217 miles on the clock, it’s said to drive “spot on” according to the listing, with “no mechanical issues” while the bodywork is “clean for its age.”
It also features heated front seats and cool Xenon headlights.
Most eye-catching of all is the 19-inch alloy wheels in ‘Xtreme Black’ which nicely compliments its grey finish.
It also looks lovely inside, finished in cool black leather with sporty finishing touches, such as the vRS logo on the gearstick.
Skoda recently revealed a very cool one-off special edition release Superb Estate with similar power to a Porsche 911.
Called the Superb Sleeper Edition, this highly practical fast estate features enough space in the back for shopping bags, golf clubs and your suitcases, and enough power to slay nearly any sports car.
It even comes with a cool black leather finish inside – complete with sporty finishing touches[/caption] It even has cool Xenon headlights[/caption]
