EMMERDALE fans are certain of a character’s death following the soap’s explosive barn fire.
A dramatic storyline saw Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) accidentally set her own barn alight – while other residents were caught up in the blaze.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: “I’m guessing they’ll find a body in the barn tomorrow and they’ll think it’s Tom (with the family thinking he’s been done in by Cain) only for it to be Nate.”
Another added: “I was expecting cutting to a dead Nate and the phone in the barn when Tracy was on the phone.”
A third commented: “Why do i get the bad feeling Nate’s somehow still in the barn?!
“I know he ‘left’ before it happened but did he actually leave?
“They didn’t tell the firefighters / paramedics because they didn’t know he was there! too much foreshadowing about him?!”
While a fourth penned: “Why do i have this horrible feeling that Nate was in that fire and will be found dead at the end of the episode?”
Back in June, The Sun revealed that Jurell Carter, who plays Nate, had quit the ITV soap after five years – and a major plot twist would air later in the year.
A source said at the time: “Nate has been at the centre of some huge storylines and his exit will be no different.
“It will be dramatic and explosive and will go down in Emmerdale history. It won’t be one to miss.”
They added: “Jurell has loved being on the soap but he’s a young actor and it’s understandable he wants to spread his wings.
“He’s got a lot of talent – not to mention the looks – to become a big star and leaving the soap is the only way he can do that.
“Five years is a good run but he feels it’s time.”
Recent Emmerdale exits include Lewis Cope, Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana and Emile John, who played Nicky, Suni and Ethan respectively.
James Chase, who plays villain Tom King, has reportedly also quit the soap.
As for Nate, his debut saw him seduce Moira into an affair behind her husband Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) back.

A later plot twist revealed Nate was Cain’s secret love child from an old relationship.
Nate wanted revenge on his birth father for abandoning him, but it transpired Cain had no idea Nate even existed.
The two formed an uneasy truce, only relatively recently becoming a solid father-son duo.
Emmerdale airs on ITV and is available to watch on ITVX.
