Reportedly owned by John Mansfield of the BBC, it has been seen at various charity events over the last few years and comes with a host of props and other features that will be familiar to fans.
These include a roof rack, market suitcase, fluffy dice and even an inflatable doll stored in the back – as seen in the classic episode ‘Danger UXD’ from Series 6.
The motor is set to be auctioned by Classic Car Auctions at Stoneleigh Park on Saturday, September 28.
Bidding will start at £15,000 – although it’s likely to fetch a much larger price.
It was previously sold at an auction in 2021, where it exchanged hands for a cool £36,000.
The van has gone through recent recommissioning, which has included the fitting of fresh tyres and an overhaul of the brakes and fuel system.
Originally built in 1972, it comes with 97,000 miles on the clock and boasts a frightening top speed of 55 mph.
The Reliant Regal was built from 1952 to 1973 by the Reliant Motor Company as a replacement for the popular Reliant Regent three-wheeled cyclecar van.
Famously, the three-wheeled vehicle with its lightweight body meant, under UK law, it could be driven on a full (class A) motorcycle licence as it’s considered a “tricycle”.
While examples of the Regal have featured in a range of films and television shows – from Mr Bean through to Disney Pixar’s Cars 2 – it’s in Only Fools and Horses where it’s most well known.
In the show, it was owned by Del Boy and Rodney Trotter and was used to carry their poorly-made goods to market.
Several Reliant Supervans were used in filming, and many people have claimed to own a genuine Regal used on the show although very few have proof.
Elsewhere, an electronics giant has revealed their own EV which is like a ‘lounge on wheels’ with a huge TV set built in.
