SINGING star Sydnie Christmas says she was FIRED from her gym job after winning Britain’s Got Talent.
Star Sydnie, 29, saw her life change forever after being crowned this year’s champion of the ITV reality show in June.
And embracing the showbiz world, the star stunned on Wednesday night as she walked the red carpet at the National Television Awards.
The glitzy world of the NTAs and showbiz events that Sydnie has experienced after her BGT win are certainly a far cry away from her previous role working in a gym.
Amanda Holden‘s Golden Buzzer act Sydnie won 27 percent of the public vote, baging herself the £250,000 prize and a slot at the upcoming Royal Variety Performance – and she’s now revealed that the gym she was working at fired her as a result.
In a chat with The Sun, Sydnie said she’d officially left her gym job, after still working there months after her win.
She said: “I’m not working at the gym anymore and I actually stayed on the rota because I didn’t know how life was going to kick off.
“And then I said ‘let me stay on the front in case I can help anyone,’ but then suddenly there was no time.
“And then they said to me ‘Sydnie, I’m going to have to fire you but we’re very happy to do it.”
Sydnie then confirmed again she was officially fired from her job.
Before Britain’s Got talent, the singer appeared in E4’s reality show Stage School.
The programme, which ran for two series in 2016 and 2017, followed the trials and tribulations of students at a real-life stage school from romances to auditions.
Earlier this year, The Sun revealed how Sydnie has a handsome Italian boyfriend.
Max Rizzo is from Sicily and is signed to a management agency that finds rising stars.
Like Sydnie, he is a talented singer and the couple have both performed in the musical The Starlight Express.
The performer is seen modelling Calvin Klein underwear, too, and posing on holiday in topless social media snaps.
In an Instagram post, the actor revealed his pride as his girlfriend appeared on ITV‘s Lorraine to discuss her dazzling Britain’s Got Talent audition.
He shared a video of Sydnie chatting to host Lorraine Kelly and wrote over the top: “My baby on Lorraine this morning” alongside two red love hearts.
