One food fan was left beaming when shopping in her local Aldi, when she spotted a brilliant bargain in the fish aisle.
Thrilled with her find, Pavla Popham took to social media to alert other shoppers, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on Aldi UK Shoppers, a private Facebook group with 299,500 members, Pavla shared a snap of her find – packs of The Fishmonger Scottish Salmon Fillets.
Once priced at £3.89 for a 240g pack, the packs of skin-on, boneless salmon fillets, which have recently had a price drop, had been reduced down to only £2.99.
Thanks to the new low price, shoppers will save 90p a pack.
Pavla was overjoyed with the cheap find, and claimed that she hadn’t seen salmon priced this low since the 90s.
Alongside her post of the ‘amazing value’ fish, the Aldi fan beamed: “Haven’t seen salmon this cheap since 1999.”
Pavla later expressed: “I LOVE salmon.
“It’s the only salmon I can afford.”
Pavla’s post has clearly impressed many, as it was shared just 19 hours ago, but has quickly racked up 172 likes.
Social media users were left open-mouthed at the price reduction and many flocked to the comments to express this.

IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.
Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.
It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.
Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.
It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.
A third commented: “Nice. I got it yesterday, I always buy it when in Aldi.”
At the same time, one foodie penned: “Yes! I got some yesterday.”
Whilst someone else beamed: “Love a bit of salmon!”
