CHANNEL 4 bosses have delighted fans by confirming the return dates of two of their most beloved shows, The Great British Bake Off and Grand Designs.
And viewers don’t have long to wait before they can indulge in the double dose of reality telly.
The UK’s cherished cooking show, GBBO, will make its highly anticipated return on Tuesday, September 24 at 8pm.
Viewers can look forward to revisiting the iconic Bake Off tent where a new batch of amateur bakers will take on weekly challenges in the hopes of impressing the judges with their culinary creations.
This will be Alison Hammond’s second time presenting the show alongside Noel Fielding.
In March 2023 it was announced that she would take over from Matt Lucas as he left his role as a Bake Off host.
In a new trailer for the upcoming series, Alison is featured in the form of an animated bumblebee with her face.
She is joined by a butterfly version of Noel.
Lex Down, Deputy Executive Creative Director, 4creative at Channel 4 explained: “The Great British Bake Off is comfort telly at its best.
“We wanted our campaign to reflect this and deliver its own slice of cakey warmth and joy.
“We created pin badges adorned with bright baking illustrations and messages of positivity, and in a Great British Bake Off first created a fully animated world rich with detail that reveals different delights with each watch.”
Just a day after GBBO kicks off, Grand Designs will return for another series of ambitious home building projects.
Hosted by British designer Kevin McCloud, the show follows property owners as they set out to create their dream house.
Participants often have to overcome financial challenges and construction setbacks as they attempt to revamp properties.
Grand Designs will air at 9pm on Wednesday, September 25.
In the lead up to the show returning to screens, Channel 4 bosses commissioned a special episode which will come out tonight.
It will see Kevin revisit the “saddest ever property” featured on Grand Designs while marking the 25th anniversary of the reality show.
Savills’s listing reads: “The property represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take on and finish the specification and fit out of one of the UK’s most spectacularly situated coastal homes.

The property is set in three acres of land and is equipped with an infinity pool and a hot tub as well as a spacious driveway.
Nic Chbat, director of Match Property estate agents in North Devon, who previously assisted with finding a buyer last year said at the time the sale stalled after the timeframe for the sale “expired”.
He added the previous buyer was “still wanting to buy the property,” and the sale was still expected to proceed.
The new listing though would suggest the purchase was never made with the sale now being handled by London-based estate agents Savills.
