Coconut oil be used for cooking and baking, but it’s also great as a make-up remover and lip balm.
As well as this, it’s good for wound healing, can be used as a body scrub and even works as a massage oil too.
Even better, it’s also a natural remedy to help with dandruff and thanks to its mild antibacterial properties, it’s even a good choice for deodorant too.
But social media users were left totally divided by Anastasia’s haul – whilst some admitted to feeling ‘jealous’ of her finds, others called her ‘selfish’ for taking the lot.
Who knows if they’re going to sell them at that price again? Better safe than sorry!

One person said: “Taking every single jar off the shelf is a bit selfish.”
To this, one shopper wrote back and penned: “No it’s not. It’s first come first served.”
The time supermarkets reduce their products vary across stores.
Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:
Aldi
Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.
This is when they have reached the last day of shelf life.
Red stickered items are most commonly found at opening and closing times.
M&S
Reduction times can vary from store to store but is most likely to occur near closing time.
Asda
Asda told Which? that yellow stickers are applied twice a day – in the morning and evening.
Co-op
Co-op told The Sun its reduced-to-clear prices are generally applied about four hours before the store closes.
Lidl
Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with reductions twice a day.
However individual stores may opt to reduce prices throughout the day.
Morrisons
Shoppers online have said that Morrisons does the best bargains first thing in the morning.
However, the store told Which? that there are no specific times for yellow sticker price cuts.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s told The Sun it’s at the store manager’s discretion whether to offer discounts.
However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm.
Tesco
Tesco has said there is no specific time for reduction, but again most people found that prices were reduced from 6pm.
Waitrose
As with most of the other stores, Waitrose shoppers have said the best reductions are found before closing.
However, the store stated that there is no specific time for yellow stickers to be applied.
Anastasia also replied: “Nah, not really considering I’ve seen everyone else do that when they’re on offer at a ridiculously low price.
“Plus, who knows when they’re going to clear stocks like that again?
Taking every single jar off the shelf is a bit selfish
Facebook user
“I’ve been living in the area for three years and this is the first time I’ve seen them reduce coconut oil that low.
“They only do it when they want to clear shelves, so I took the opportunity, especially considering how expensive coconut oil is nowadays.”
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
However, another added: “I’m so envious!”
Whilst a third commented: “Good on you. If there was something I used and it was reduced, I’d buy what I could carry/afford on that day.”
In response, Anastasia agreed: “Absolutely, [with] prices ridiculously low I would try and get as many as possible because I know anybody else would’ve done the same thing and not leave any left.
“Plus, who knows if they’re going to sell them at that price again? Better safe than sorry!”
