TAYLOR Swift has endorsed Kamala Harris minutes after the vice president’s fiery debate with Donald Trump.
The Eras superstar, 34, confirmed she was backing Harris’ ticket on Tuesday night, signing off her endorsement as “Taylor Swift Childless Cat Lady” in a swipe at Trump’s running mate JD Vance.

“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight,” Swift shared with her over 280 million followers on Instagram.
“If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most.
“As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”
The U.S. Sun reported on August 23 that Swift would endorse Harris’ campaign four to six weeks before the election.
In her post, the Cruel Summer singer went on to address the fake AI posts circulating online and even reposted by Trump, which claimed she was backing the former president’s campaign.
It came after Trump reposted an AI-generated meme that showed Uncle Sam with the headline, “Taylor Wants You to Vote for Donald Trump.”
A second image showed several young women wearing “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts.
Trump captioned the post, “I accept,” implying he had received the singer’s endorsement.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” Swift wrote.
“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.
“It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.”
Swift made her case for Harris, saying the vice president stands up for the causes and rights she believes while adding that Walz fights for LGBTQ+, IVF, and women’s rights.

“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” she continued.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.
“I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ privileges, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.

“I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early.”
Swift shared a link for where first time voters can register and important voting dates.
She concluded her statement by taking a jab at Trump’s running mate, signing off, “With love and hope, Taylor Swift Childless Cat Lady.”
Taylor Swift became the latest celebrity to endorse Kamala Harris and Tim Walz's campaign for the presidency
Here’s a look at other celebrities that have backed Harris and Walz’s ticket:
Throughout the years, Swift, who voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 election, has been public about her political views.
The pop megastar uses her high-profile celebrity status and large social media influence to encourage millions of her followers to go and vote.
However, despite Swift’s mass following among Gen Z and millennials, a new survey conducted by The U.S. Sun showed the pop star’s endorsement will have little effect on the election this year.
A whopping 61 percent of those surveyed said that Swift’s endorsement would have absolutely no impact on voters in November.
An additional 19 percent affirmed the singer’s celebrity support would have “not much of an impact,” according to an exclusive survey on voters’ habits for The U.S. Sun by Talker Research.
Only 20 percent of those surveyed agreed a Swift endorsement would impact their voting decision.
