Earlier this year Netflix revealed they had greenlit Happy Gilmore’s sequel.
The sports comedy film follows the story of Happy Gilmore, a failed hockey player who has the stunning ability to play golf.
The sequel will also feature Sandler, who played the main character role of Gilmore in the first movie.
The actor and script writer has hinted that the plot will likely focus on Gilmore “being a little older now and still trying to compete with the youngsters.”
The follow-up comedy film might also be the start of an acting career for a huge legend in the golfing world.
When asked, Sandler admitted he would love it if Tiger Woods starred in the second film.
He added: “I’m gonna write all my dreams and then you never know what’s gonna happen.”
