He told The U.S. Sun some of his go-to anti-aging products and shared several budget-friendly tips.
Kopelman recommended several affordable ways people can get young-looking skin.
Specifically, he stressed the importance of looking for a few key ingredients.
The first is hyaluronic acid.
“Hyaluronic acid is crucial for maintaining skin hydration, which directly impacts its youthful appearance,” he said.
Another favorite is retinol, which is “particularly effective for promoting cell turnover.”
It reduces fine lines and improves overall skin texture.
“Peptides are excellent for boosting collagen production, which supports skin elasticity,” he said.
He recommended trying many drugstore brands because they “offer products with these ingredients that are both effective and affordable.”
There are also some natural and DIY skincare methods that don’t break the bank.
“I recommend simple DIY treatments like a honey and yogurt mask, which can nourish and moisturize the skin,” he said.
In his New York City-based practice, he emphasizes the importance of hydration — “both internally and externally.”
“Drinking plenty of water is fundamental for healthy skin, as well-hydrated skin appears plumper and more vibrant,” he said.
He also stressed the need for sun protection and regular facial massages to “improve circulation and promote a youthful glow.”
“Wearing sunscreen daily is one of the most effective ways to prevent premature aging,” he added.

Kopelman also warned about some “pervasive myths” he hears in his practice.
A major misconception is the belief that oily skin doesn’t need moisturizer.
“All skin types require hydration; the key is finding a non-comedogenic moisturizer that won’t clog pores,” he explained.
People also tend to believe that expensive products are always better, but he insists that that’s not often the case.
“Many budget-friendly options contain the same active ingredients as their high-end counterparts,” he said.
He warned that it is “important to proceed with caution” when using natural or DIY skincare because they “can be irritating or cause allergic reactions.”
