SPENDING an hour each day slathering several layers of skincare products isn’t necessary for a glowing complexion.
Mimi Nguyen revealed that her daily beauty routine involves just four steps, which are teamed with a biweekly DIY face mask.
Nguyen, from Las Vegas, Nevada, revealed to The U.S. Sun the methods she swears by for a healthy complexion in her 30s.
As the co-founder of the Vietnamese coffee company Cafely, she has a very busy schedule and embraces the belief that “less is more.”
Nguyen revealed her daily skincare routine involves just four steps as she wants it to be “simple and uncomplicated.”
“I believe that when you only need to follow a few steps, there’s a better chance you can be consistent with it,” she said.
“First off, I start with cleansing.
“I wash my face with a gentle rice water cleanser morning and night to keep my skin bright and smooth.
“Next is toning, I use a green tea-based toner to balance my skin’s pH and also to add a layer of toxin protection.”
A lightweight aloe vera gel is then applied as a moisturizer to hydrate her skin without clogging pores.
“I’ve gravitated towards natural and organic ingredients for my skincare routine,” she said.
“I swear by is aloe vera gel for moisturizing, it’s fantastic for soothing and hydrating the skin.”
Nguyen said she never skips sunscreen as the final step in her daily regimen.
“I use an SPF 50 sunscreen to protect against UV damage, which by the way can age your skin real fast,” she said.
“And even if I’m not planning to go out for the day, I still apply sunscreen.
“Our gadgets and even indoor lighting also emit UV rays.”
Facials that promote hydration and gentle exfoliation are among the professional treatments she occasionally indulges in.
While biweekly home face masks help to keep breakouts at bay.
Sticking to a quick, uncomplicated routine will help you stay consistent with your skincare.

“I apply a face mask made from the rich combination of turmeric and yogurt at least once or twice a week,” she said.
“I feel this helps keep my skin glowing and even-toned.”
Nguyen said a consistent routine that involves cleaning, hydration, and sun protection should be paired with a healthy diet.
Stress management is also crucial for maintaining the results.
“Whichever skincare routine you think works for you, stick to it,” she said.
“Remember that improvements will not happen overnight, so just continue until you see results.
“Last but not least, don’t underestimate the power of a positive mindset and managing stress.
“How you feel inside will reflect on your skin.”
