A WOMAN and child have been found dead inside a house in Bodmin – with cops probing the ‘unexplained’ deaths.
Cops were called by an ambulance crew at 10.10am yesterday over concerns for the welfare of two people in the Cornish town.
Emergency services scrambled to a home in the Fletchersbridge area, where they gave a woman and a child emergency medical treatment.
Both the woman and the child were confirmed dead at the scene, cops said.
Formal identification remains ongoing but their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained cops.
No one else is being sought in connection with the two deaths, which are believed to be an isolated case.
Detective Inspector Neil Blanchard said: “This is a tragic and incredibly sad incident.”
Blanchard added: “The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.
“We are investigating them to establish the full circumstances of what occurred.
“I would like to reassure the community that this is being treated as an isolated incident.
“At this time we are not seeking anyone else in connection to the deaths.”
