A CLEANING whizz has revealed the optimum time to get your windows sparkling and streak-free.
There’s nothing quite as frustrating as spending what feels like hours cleaning your windows only to be left with a streaky mess and soapy residue.
The cleaning whizz, from the UK, took to TikTok to demonstrate how to achieve the perfect streak-free windows[/caption] According to Danielle, there is an optimum time of the day that will ensure the ultimate results[/caption]But according to one woman, only known as Danielle, this is because you’ve been doing it wrong all this time – and there’s even an optimum time of the day that will ensure the best results.
Taking to TikTok, the guru – who posts under the username @cleaningwithdanielled – demonstrated the most effective method for bright windows.
If you live in a newer property, Danielle also highlighted a handy method that makes the chore a breeze.
In the clip, the brunette beauty revealed there’s a special function of recently-installed windows – a little button you can push to slide your windows out to the left or right.
Neat and sure to save you a lot of time and effort, this nifty trick grants easy access to both sides of the glass, making it easier to wipe for the perfect results.
There’s also another key thing to remember when it comes to achieving streak-free windows – the best time of the day to clean them.
The TikTok cleaning whizz, who has a staggering 1.9million followers, divulged that early morning or later in the evening are prime times for this household task.
Danielle explained: “Always clean your windows either super early in the morning or later in the day, or on a dull day.
”Basically when the sun isn’t beaming on your house.
”The sun will dry the product onto your windows too quickly and this will leave them streaky.”
Fellow social media users flocked to the comments section to race their thoughts – and there were also those who’d already put this tip to the test.
One person wrote: “I didn’t know, thank you so much for this.”
Another fan chimed in, remarking: “THANK YOU. I was cleaning mine this morning, just moved in a month ago and forgot how you turn these in to clean them!”
Someone else cried: ”Raging my council windows don’t open properly like this.”

This came after one member of the popular the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group wondered: ”How on earth do I get my windows smear free?
“Everything I clean them with ends up making them awfully streaky”.
Luckily for the person, the post was flooded with helpful responses from cleaning fans, many whom shared the same advice – using a newspaper.
One person said: “I use old newspaper and glass cleaner.”
Responding to this comment, another person said: “I was going to say that.
“Wash your windows and then dry them off with newspaper.”
This cost-effective method is both fabulous for your windows – and your wallet – as you can pick up a newspaper for around 50p, or even for free.
