LOVE Island finalist Matilda Draper has accused bosses of making her look ‘mean’ in front of the cameras.
Matilda, who starred in this summer’s series of the ITV2 reality show, hit out her portrayal on camera during a podcast interview.
The reality star, 24, agreed with interviewer Ami Charlize that she was ‘made not to look a girls’ girl’ during the Casa Amor challenge.
But despite insisting she would never steal anyone’s man, Matilda did admit to a bust-up with one of her fellow female islanders over a guy.
As Matilda chatted about her time on Love Island, Ami told her: “I remember in the Casa Amor part where they were trying to make out you were trying to not be a girls’ girl.
“But I was watching it like, she’s done nothing wrong.”
Shaking her head and looking annoyed, Matilda quickly replied: “No! Yeah!”
However, when asked if there was “any beef”, she did confess to a fall out with Jess White.
Unlucky-in-love Jess had made a beeline in Casa Amor for Hugo Godfroy and she was shown on camera getting annoyed with Matilda for also speaking to him.
Admitting that it was genuine, Matilda said: “At the time I was in Casa, I was just like, ‘I’ve got to chat to these people’. Obviously I was chatting to Jake and I chatted to Hugo a bit.
“And then [me and Jess] had that argument because she was like, ‘I’m so happy with him’. But I was like, ‘Babe, I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m having a convo and you’ve known him two days’.
“And she got that, but we just both butted heads.”
Despite the row, Matilda insisted that she had Jess later described their feud in hindsight as “jokes”.
Matilda was working as a recruitment consultant before heading into the villa for this summer’s Love Island.
She ended up making it to the final with Sean Stone and they initially made a go of their romance once on the outside.
But sadly their love story wasn’t to be and they confirmed their split less than a fortnight ago.
In a statement on Instagram, Matilda said: “Just wanted to come on here to tell you guys that Sean and I have decided to part ways.
“We are still good friends & I’m so grateful to have shared such an incredible experience with him.”
The 11th series of popular ITV2 dating show Love Island created plenty of new couples - but not all of them have managed to go the distance.
She continued: “We appreciate all of your support throughout our time together and all the love you have shown us.”
Fans had already accused the couple of only staying together for the cameras and there has definitely been no love lost between them since.
Just hours after making her announcement, the pair were already making brutal digs at each other on social media.
Sean’s sister Willow has since claimed that Matilda dumped Sean by TEXT.
