ANGELA Rayner has brushed off criticism over her Ibiza rave session – saying: “I’m working class… I like a dance.”
The Deputy Prime Minister was filmed dancing on the White Island with telly host Denise van Outen.

Video showed her – wearing a striking red dress – dancing to the tune Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye at about 4am at the end of last week.
The Cabinet Minister told Sky News: “I was on holiday for a couple of days, I mean you can criticise my dancing, it is subjective, but…’
“I take my job really seriously and what I do… you’ve got to have downtime as well. Everybody has to have downtime.’
‘Yes I’m working class, I like a dance, I like dance music.
‘I got criticised for going to the opera if you remember… I was a champagne socialist for going to the theatre.”
Her nightclub appearance was even welcomed by her predecessor in her government role – who said it was a tradition.
Michael Gove, who held the housing role in the last administration, has been snapped in nightclubs previously.
He said: “It’s a tradition for Secretaries of State in the department.”
Tory MP Jesse Norman congratulated her on her “dancing skills” during a Commons debate this week.
Ms Rayner is no stranger to dancing the night away.
She revealed last year she visited Spain where she had been up from partying from 4pm until 6am the next day drinking vodka.
Rayner told comedian Matt Forde: “The girls I was raving with are half my age, and I was like ‘I’m a grandma’.
“I was proud of that. 4pm I started, and I got home at six o’clock in the morning when the sun was shining and I was like, ‘Yes, I can do it’.”
She added: “You’ve got to go with the music, the vibes. You’ve got to be in the moment and it takes you,” Ms Rayner added.
