A STAY at home daughter has given an insight into what it was like “growing up rich.”
Chloe, 21, who has never worked, took to social media to reveal how she is proud to flaunt her family’s wealth and her video has since gone viral with over 10.9 million views.
Chloe was bought a Cartier watch by her grandmother to celebrate her ninth birthday[/caption]The young woman, who goes by the name of @chloeabeth4545 on TikTok, talked about the things she thought was “normal” growing up rich.
Talking to camera whilst doing her makeup, Chloe says: “It used to confuse me so much, but growing up, I felt like my parents didn’t have a job.
“I clearly know this is false now, but when we were little and teachers were like, what does your dad do? I was literally like, my parents don’t work.
“They were like, how do your parents make money?”
Chloe also revealed how her birthday presents were off the scale.
She says: “For my ninth birthday my grandparents gave me a Cartier watch and I wore it everyday to school.
“It got to the point that teachers were commenting on it.
“For my 16th birthday, I also got a crazy amount of Van Cleef, and when I mean crazy I mean that 21 year old Chloe would still think that is actually insane.”
Cartier watches can range in price from £1,900 to £190,000, depending on the model and source of the watch.
The price of a Van Cleef bracelet can range from around £3,700 to over £800,000.
Chloe continues: “I low key wish that I had a YouTube channel at [the age of] 16 or my TikTok, because I just know my 16th birthday haul would’ve been so iconic. It would’ve popped off.”
Chloe went onto explain what her parents priorities were when bringing her up.
She says: “I also never had a job growing up which I actually do think is quite common for asian kids.
“My parents were always like, focus on school, focus on piano and focus on dance.”
Her parents would motivate her by buying her expensive gifts.
She got a gold Van Cleef bracelet for graduating her piano diploma.
Chloe finishes the video by saying: “I said it before and I’ll say it again, but growing up spoiled is not necessarily a bad thing, but growing up a brat is.”
The video gained over 1.3 million likes with over 2,700 rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

A second added: “I could do a similar video but it would be ‘things I thought were normal growing up poor.’”
A third said: “I was growing up spoiled but I was never bratty.
“My favourite quote from my mum is ‘no matter how much money you have, if you’re poor on the inside, no money will help you’ I think it’s so true.”
