Every year, Apple hosts a major September event where it shows off new products, including fresh iPhone models.
This year’s gadget bonanza has been named Glowtime – and it’s taking place on Monday, September 9.
The event will take place at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
Apple chief Tim Cook will begin proceedings at 10am local time, which is 1pm in New York and 6pm in London.
As usual, Apple will be livestreaming the event on its website, as well as on YouTube and Apple TV.
And The Sun will be attending the event, reporting live on all the latest gadget news.
The headline news will be around Apple’s new roster of iPhones.
We’re now up to iPhone 16, and it’s looking likely that there will be four models.
They’ll probably be called: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Apple looks set to fit them all with a new and more powerful A18 chipset.
New color options have been rumored, including a new white option for the regular iPhone 16 and a bronze Desert Titanium on the iPhone 16 Pro.
We can look forward to some camera, performance, and battery life improvements.
And there’s talk of a new pressure-sensitive camera button on the side of the iPhone.
Four new iPhone models were unveiled at the September 2023 event – and the same situation is expected for September 2024[/caption]Apple’s new roster of iPhone models will run on iOS 18, the company’s latest software update.
It was announced earlier this year and introduces a range of new AI features as part of an upgrade called Apple Intelligence.
You’ll be able to make your own custom emoji called Genmoji, for instance.
And you can use AI to generate images from scratch right inside your iPhone.

Finally, we’re expecting very slight increases to screen sizes on the Pro models.
This reportedly means a rise from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches for the regular Pro, and 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.
New iPhone models aren’t the only gadgets on the cards for Apple’s September 2024 event.
Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 9 in 2023, with a replacement expected in 2024[/caption]We’re likely to see at least two new Apple Watch models, and maybe even three.
First up is the Apple Watch Series 10, an obvious replacement for last year’s Series 9.
Rumors suggest that it’ll have a bigger screen but a slimmer design overall.
But we’re not expecting any major changes – or at the very least, nothing revolutionary has been leaked.
The Apple AirPods are wildly popular – and cheap new models may be on the way[/caption]We’re also likely to see the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which is a successor to Apple’s higher-end smartwatch.
Insiders have claimed that we’ll see blood pressure monitoring.
There might also be an Apple Watch SE 3, which is a new entry to the budget-friendly range – and potentially upgraded with a larger display.
Music fans will be overjoyed to hear that there may be two new versions of the APple AirPods 4.
Are you self proclaimed Apple lover well here are some fun hacks for you....
They’re expected to feature an AirPods Pro-style design and USB-C charging (just like newer iPhone models).
Active Noise Cancellation looks likely to be bundled into the pricier pair, but neither will feature silicone ear-tips like the Pro models.
Other less likely but potential additions to the line-up include:
However these devices are probably not coming at the September event.
The iPhone SE upgrade is expected to launch in early 2025, for example.
