AN ITV dating show proving it’s never too late to find love is just days away from returning to our screens.
My Mum, Your Dad attracted an average audience of more than two million viewers when it first aired last year.
My Mum, Your Dad is returning for another series from Monday, 16 September[/caption] Cue Cupid: Davina McCall will host the second series of the popular dating show[/caption]Fans swooned with delight as Natalie and Paul, Sharon and Elliott and Roger and Janey found love again after getting the seal of approval from their children.
Now the hit show is scheduled to come back with a bang from Monday, 16 September at 9pm.
Viewers will be in for a few changes, including a raunchy den installed into the mansion with a privacy switch.
Single parents taking part first time around were unaware their every dating move was being watched by their grown-up children.
Now that surprise has been taken away, bosses hope participants will still have the confidence to pucker up in a more intimate space.
Ahead of the news series, presenter Davina McCall explained: “Seeing kids ‘die’ as their parents do something frisky is really funny.
“But there’s now a snug, and the adults can go into the snug and have a moment together on their own.”
For those who really feel all eyes are on them, there’s also a cut-off switch in the bunker so the mums and dads can have a proper moment alone.
A trailer for the new series features Davina’s voice telling viewers: “[It’s] another chance to feel the flutters.
“All under the watchful eye of their kids – because it’s never too late to feel butterflies.”
The new series cast includes single mum Clare, who can be seen in the trailer getting stuck into a pottery session, with daughter Aimee bursting into fits of giggles as she watches on.
Off camera, Clare described her perfect man and said: “My love language is physical touch, so someone that’s cuddly and tactile that makes me laugh and who’s a warm and kind person.”
Meanwhile Malachi, whose mum Jenny is taking part, is seen in the trailer bursting into tears as he is comforted by the group before a voice is heard saying: “I did not see this coming,” teasing the drama ahead.
Meanwhile, Vicky and her daughter Angharad appear “twin-like” in their promo snaps.
“If there’s a room of people, I always tend to go for the one person I shouldn’t!”

Hinting she’s picked the bad boys in the past, the glam mum has said: “I’ve been having no luck in trying to find someone myself.
“If there’s a room of people, I always tend to go for the one person I shouldn’t!”
Danny, who has entered the experiment with son Ellis, said off-camera: “I’m hoping to meet someone that likes me.
“I don’t have to tick boxes. I’m just looking for someone who likes me back.”
The Sun previously exclusively revealed which mums and dads stayed the course and are still together after filming for the first season wrapped up in May.

It had been a long time since I’d got sucked into a dating show before I watched the first series of My Mum, Your Dad last year.
Maybe it’s because I’m now closer in age to some of the parents than I am Love Islanders, but I just think the show is so wholesome.
While Love Islanders are fresh into the dating pool, the participants of My Mum, Your Dad have more life and dating experience.
Whether it’s a failed marriage, the horrors of dating apps as a mature person or – in Roger’s case last year – the loss of a spouse, they all had fears, wounds and vulnerabilities that felt more real and relatable to watch.
Yes, they’re still on the super glam side compared to many of us watching at home, but their life experiences were easy to connect with and gave us something to root for.
The fact they didn’t know their children were watching their every move was a bonus in series one, and I do worry that the fact that twist is now known for future contestants will impact the show’s format a little.
But with new features planned for series two, I’m sure the stories of the single parents looking for love will still make for compelling viewing, and I for one can’t wait for it to be back on TV!
Host Davina told The Sun she was thrilled the show had worked after she “manifested” the format for older daters and said she wants “to present this show for the rest of my life!
Richard Cowles of Lifted Entertainment, which produces the show, described the “heartfelt reaction” to the first series as “incredible”.
He said: “There was real joy in watching the amazing relationships between the grown-ups and their parents; they cried as their parents’ vulnerabilities showed and cringed as new connections and dates played out.
“My Mum, Your Dad has heart, warmth and laughs in every show and that really resonated with the viewers.”
