COPS have launched a murder investigation after a woman’s body was discovered next to an abandoned car on a country lane.
The grim found was made yesterday evening near to Whaddon Lane, Owslebury, Hampshire.
The body of a woman was found lying next to an abandoned black car.
Forensic officers and uniformed police are at the scene gathering evidence as the investigation continues.
Flowers have already been left at the scene.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We were called at 5.51pm on Tuesday 3 September after the body of a woman in her 30s was found near to Whaddon Lane, Owslebury.
“A homicide investigation has been launched to establish the cause of her death, but officers are keeping an open mind at this early stage of our enquiries.
“The woman has not been formally identified, but her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
