A ROCK legend has stayed coy on epic band reunion as he prepares to embark on a solo career.
The Brit singer, 75, was grilled by Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid, 53, as she asked about the prospect of an Oasis-style comeback tour.
She asked Francis Rossi, co-founder and lead singer of Status Quo, and said: “So you’re not ruling out a Status Quo tour?”
He then kept things sketchy as he said: “No but I am, kind of.”
The Roll Over Lay Down singer added: “I can’t see it going. I know what this business is like.”
Pressing the issue further, Susanna said: “So you can’t see it happening …”
Francis replied: “No I can’t, see it doesn’t make sense.
“In three or four years time I will be older.”
The London-born star, who is preparing to embark on a solo tour, alluded to a comeback for the Whatever You Want hitmakers on Wednesday’s episode of the ITV daytime show.
The British group’s hits span six decades and they were on tour earlier this summer.
Yet when asked about a repeat performance and fresh tour dates Francis, who also appeared on GMB in June, said: “I just can’t see us going again.
“In 2026, I will be 77.
“In my mind, it’s not possible.
“And I am enjoying doing this.”
Francis’ new tour will see him hit the road next year and promises “songs from the Status Quo songbook and more.”
He will play venues across the UK, from Cornwall to Buxton and Hull to Edinburgh.
Previously, long-standing Status Quo guitarist and singer Rick Parfitt, 68, was forced to quit in 2016 following a fourth heart attack.
He tragically died from an infection just months later.
Francis founded Status Quo while he was still at school with Alan Lancaster in 1962.
The group has seen numerous line-up changes over the years, with other members including John Coghlan, Andy Brown and John ‘Rhino’ Edwards.
Status Quo have had more than 60 chart hits in the UK during their reign, with 22 of them reaching the Top Ten.
They opened Live Aid in 1985, have won armfuls of awards and sold approximately 118 million records worldwide. They performed at Glastonbury Festival on the Pyramid Stage in 2009.
Meanwhile, presenter Susanna made her return to the ITV daytime show after she was replaced in the line-up on Tuesday.
Ranvir Singh took her spot alongside Ed Balls at the top of the show, with the pair explaining how Susanna had been forced to take a day off after one of her son’s fell ill.
The no-show came just a day into Susanna’s GMB return after she enjoyed almost two months off for her annual summer break.
During the lengthy break, she enjoyed a “wild” getaway with her sons.
On Monday’s episode, she had choked back tears in an emotional segment centred on a teenager killed by a Ninja sword.
Susanna was also left taken aback as a guest took a shock swipe at her.
