PEOPLE are urging those who want tattoos to be careful of the parlours they go to after one person revealed their “bad looking” ink.
A tattoo is a permanent mark made to the skin by inserting ink dyes.
Tattoo fans are urging more people to be vigilant when it comes to choosing your tattoo parlour and artist[/caption]It’s carried out by a professionally trained tattoo artist who would use a needle machine.
This is then pierced into the skin thousands of times per a minute as it drops tiny bits of ink into the dermis.
The tattoo then remains in the skin for years – if not a lifetime.
For one particular person, who has remained anonymous, they have found themselves in a difficult situation after getting a “botched” tattoo.
The tattoo fan has been left confused after the artist had drawn a wonky symbolic picture on their leg and trolls are blasting it as “awful”.
The black ink has been drawn in three half circles on the calf and each one has a symbol in it, which includes a heart, lightning bolt and an almond shape with a cross in it.
The person took to Reddit to share their concern about the tattoo and asked for advice from others on how to cover it up.
They shared a picture of the permanent ink, and wrote: “It’s not straight. The circles aren’t equal, cover up please?”
The post gained a lot of attention with over sixty people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One Reddit user was left confused, and wondered if people realise the seriousness of getting a tattoo.
They wrote: “Do y’all actually look at an artist’s work or do you just wander into the first strip mall shop you can find for something permanently embedded in your skin?”
The same Reddit user then continued to explain: “Drawing a stencil on a flat surface is easier than shoving a needle with ink into someone’s skin on a not-so-flat part of the body.
“It’s why a five minute Google search on your artists is silly.
“You need to go through an artist’s entire portfolio before you make a choice.
“That stencil might look great but the execution might turn out piss poor if the artist has terrible tattooing technique.”
Another Reddit user warned: “Not all tattoo ‘artists’ are actually very good at the ‘art’ component.
“Also, often when I see people sketch/draw circles, they usually make a couple circular shapes and then erase the excess into a perfect circle, but obviously with a tattoo you only have one shot.
Trolls have blasted the artist for giving the customer an “awful” tattoo[/caption]“Also, skin is a weird and difficult canvas that doesn’t easily take the ink.
“You have to apply the right amount of pressure, too little and you don’t get the ink in, too much and your canvas will squirm- making it even more difficult to get straight lines.”
A third wrote: “If you did this in an actual shop you should probably sue them lmao
“Couldn’t they use a fucking stencil?
“How can they fuck up something this simple, it’s literally JUST a fucking circle… I feel bad for you, the base idea was nice if you’re a huge fan of this game, it really sucks that the guy who made it did not respect you.”
1. Think, think and think some more
Tattoos done on a whim are far more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo you thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you’ve chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, then get it.
2. Age restrictions apply
You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in the UK.
3. Don’t haggle over the price
When you go to a tattoo shop the price is the price. You are paying for an artist’s time and skills, they charge what they believe those things are worth.
4. Don’t get tattooed while you’re hungry
Eat before you go for your tattoo session and make sure you’re hydrated. You’re about to be subjected to a period of sustained physical discomfort, if you’re feeling a little weak from hunger or you’re dehydrated things will not go as smoothly as they should.
5. Don’t drink alcohol before you get tattooed
If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, don’t go for a tattoo. In fact, if your tattooist has anything at all about them they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicating substances. I’d also avoid drinking the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make your bleed more.
