Yet Caroline, who appeared on-screen via a live video link, was attempting to bag access to one of the venues and dates for the 17 scheduled domestic gigs and told David: “I’m 36th in the queue.
“So if I suddenly stop talking, deal with it.”

“I’m in I’m in.
Just stand there just a minute … let me get the tickets and you can just talk amongst yourselves
does anyone else need any while im in?
David, looking stunned, replied: “Are you really in the queue?”
She held up her credit card and laptop and said: “No I’m right at the front – look.”
Caroline then told how she was a genuine fan before recalling seeing the Britpop stars rehearse at Knebworth.
David said: “As lovely as this is, what has this got to do with American news?”
Caroline, ever the professional, then addressed US Presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ first sit-down interview on CNN but still appeared distracted.
She laughed as she joked: “You know what I’m doing right.”
