The Nigerian international has also been linked with a switch to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli before the 11pm deadline.
But according to reports, Osimhen would rather make the switch to the Premier League and join Chelsea – if they can meet his wage demands.
It’s been claimed that Osimhen is holding out for a whopping £500,000-per-week in order to get a deal over the line.
TRANSFER Deadline Day is here - with clubs against the clock to finalise their summer business.
Chelsea reportedly remain in talks to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, with time running out for the Blues to complete a deal.
Meanwhile, Ivan Toney is expected to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, according to reports.
Elsewhere, Newcastle are set to walk away from their long-running pursuit of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
In other news, Chelsea and Juventus remain in discussions over a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the 11pm deadline.

However, despite long negotiations throughout the day, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins has claimed that the Blues’ latest offer to Osimhen is only £130,000-a-week.
Chelsea fans are incensed at the low-ball offer with the Stamford Bridge faithful hoping for a world class number nine to join their ranks.
Many supporters took to social media to vent their frustrations after learning of the offer made by Todd Boehly and his team.
One wrote: “If this is what we’ve spent all day doing. I have no words. Not even I’d lowball him that much.”

While another added: “Spent all that time negotiating to come up with that. What a waste of time.”
A third fumed: “What is this? We are not serious at all.”
And a fourth posted: “This club is a joke!”.
Chelsea have implemented a new wage structure since the arrival of Boehly and Clearlake Capital that means the majority of their players are on relatively low wages for lengthy contract.
Meeting Osimhen’s demands would not only break their structure and make him the Blues’ top paid player, but would also make him the highest earner in the whole of the Premier League.
It’s claimed that if a deal can’t be struck between the parties then Osimhen would remain in Napoli with a deal to Al Ahli now looking unlikely.
The Saudi outfit are instead placing their attention on Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
Chelsea are also working on bringing Jadon Sancho to SW6 before the window slams shut in a matter of hours.
It’s reported that Chelsea have submitted a loan-to-buy offer to Manchester United for the wantaway winger.
