IT may feel like there’s an influencer for everything, but Maximilian Chester has been ahead of the race in terms of motoring.
The content creator has spoken to the likes of F1 champions on his channel. But who is he?
Not much is known about the mysterious creator.
However, Maximilian Chester runs the social media account @pwuftalkscars.
According to his personal profile, he is originally from the Netherlands.
During a conversation with the Ignition Podcast, the influencer revealed he was born and raised in China.
His family then moved to Spain where he completed his A-Levels.
Maximilian later completed his university studies in the UK.
He’s already caught the attention of some veteran racers, chatting with the likes of Lewis Hamilton.
The motor man revealed that he had created the largest Rolls Royce fan page on Instagram when he was 14-years-old, which was what led him to the social media network in the first place.
Ahead of the Monaco GP in 2024, Hamilton and F1 teammate George Russell were in the principality for the unveiling of Mercedes’ new car – the Mythos Purspeed.
While conversing with Maximilian, the seven-time champ spilled the beans on his favourite road-trip song.
He said: “Umm… move b*tch, get out the way”.
“Unless you are cruising along and it’s a slow thing. Then you put on Bob Marley.”
Maximilian said that games had ignited his passion for cars.
He explained that the very first game he got when he was eight-years-old was the ultimate driving game, Burnout Paradise, on Xbox.
He said: “I would play that game religiously, and BeamNG.
“I always loved crash graphics, I always liked seeing cars crumble, and BeamNG was great for that.
“I loved the suspension on GTA (Grand Theft Auto) 4.”
He also admitted finding school mundane and that he wasn’t the “best student”.
He added: “I’ve always loved cars since I was a kid, but I always had a strong desire towards quirky cars.”
Consequently, he found his niche and his journey began.
Maximilian is on most social media platforms including TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube.
However, his main account with the most followers appears to be on Instagram.
At the time of writing, his channel has 1.5 million subscribers.
He has a staggering 775,000 subscribers on TikTok, while on YouTube, he has around 58,000 subscribers.
His Snapchat account has a similar amount at 56,000.
The jetsetter is often seen with the latest sports cars and rides, giving his opinions about the different roadsters.
He runs a channel similar to that of Top Gear, but exclusively on social media.
From Porsches and Ferraris, to Bentleys and Mercedes, Chester has the pick of the crop.
In August 2024, he revealed that he had reviewed over 150 cars since starting his channel.
According to his Instagram, he claims the Lexus LS400 is the “best car in the world”, and that it needed to be “experienced by everyone”.
He is known for using a plastic dummy hand to present some precious gems in each car.
